The New Transfer PAL Reduces Risk of Back Injury
Winnsboro, TX (August 2, 2010) – The new Transfer PAL designed by iTec Mfg is used to transfer patients to and from beds, cots and stretchers. Not only will it make transferring easier, it will also decrease the risk of back injuries during transfers.
“Healthcare workers now rank #1 in being at risk for musculoskeletal injuries at work,” according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, March 2004.
The Transfer PAL has a closed-cell foam padding for patient comfort and a hard shell that will slide easily against all types of material. The handles enable staff to utilize a trapeze grip that allows for proper body mechanics.
One staff member can easily and safely transfer patient.
Two sizes are available – regular and bariatric.
Today, iTec Mfg has been manufacturing the Multi-Grip Head Immobilizer since 1989. They also manufacture the Tank Boss portable oxygen cylinder lift.
